If Java applet failed to load or run

Most probably your browser does not have a Java plug-in (JVM) or it is not up to date. In the following pink rectangular you should see your browser's JVM make and version.

In order to start the colorization applet a JVM of version 1.2.0 or newer must be installed in your browser.
For example: "Java Version: 1.1.4 from Microsoft Corp." is just too old and out of date.

In case your browser's JVM is an older version you can either use a different browser (e.g. Netscape, Mozilla) or install an up to date Java plug-in in the current browser. This can be done for free in the following link: http://java.com/en/download/
