Important Notes
- Lectures will be given on Tuesdays.
- You must be registered for and attend the laboratory section
on Thursdays.
- Check the class web page regularly for course information and
announcements.
- An I grade is only given when a small part of the course work
cannot be finished due to a verified illness or family emergency.
- Cheating of any kind is extremely serious and may result in a course grade
of F and/or other consequences.
Instructional Labs
-
There is a set of instructional
labs.
Most of the labs will require a significant amount of work and
you may have to spend more than the scheduled two hours to complete
the lab session each week. You should come prepared for the lab by
printing out and reading
the materials on the web page before each lab session.
Each person in the class must complete the labs and lab reports individually,
not as a team. Lab reports must be turned in to your
TA one week after
the scheduled time for each lab. Each report should include a half-page
written description of the major tasks you did, the problems you encountered
and how you overcame those problems,
as well as print-outs of circuits, waveforms,
synthesis reports, etc. that you generated during the lab.
Design Project
-
Each
project will be done by a
team of two students.
The project assignment process must be completed by
Friday, February 1. The first project report (one per team)
is due in class on Tuesday, March 25 and the final project report
(one per team)
is due on Tuesday, May 13 before 4:00 PM. Each design team
will give an oral presentation on their project. The
schedule for these presentations will be announced later.
Exam
-
The exam will be given during the last class meeting on
Tuesday, May 6. It will cover the material
presented in the lectures.
